Mission/Benevolence Ministry
Welcome to the Mission/Benevolence Ministry
Mission
The mission of the Mission/Benevolence Ministry is to provide a holistic
Christian environment by: saving souls, offering Spiritual and physical growth,
food, clothing, and personal needs to the less fortunate.
Back-to-School Fair:
In 2002, we had our first annual Back-to-School Fair. We raised $700 in
cash and many supplies were donated to our school drive. We provided
school supplies to approximately 110 students in the surrounding area. The
remaining supplies were donated to three oppressed areas that are in dire need
of supplies: two elementary schools (Markham and Chicago) and a Back-to-School
Fair in Harvey, IL.
Bolingbrook Christian Health Center:
We assisted in the preparation of the Health Center which opened one month
ago. We volunteered many hours cleaning, doing clerical work, and fund
raisers.
Meadow Brook Manor Nursing Home:
In September, we acquired a Ministry at Meadow Brook Manor Nursing. We
go twice a month (2nd and 4th) to worship and play Bingo with the residents.
Gifts are provided for the Bingo winners. On holidays, bingo is not
played. We provide gifts for the residents and celebrate the occasion
appropriately. Our ministry is a blessing to us and the residents.
Organizational Needs
We need willing, committed, faithful workers to assist in the existing
ministries as well as the new ones FY 2006:
